Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Roosmalen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rua comes to the ring accompanied by Roy Jones - Can't be touched . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roosmalen throws a sloppy head kick and Rua moves out of range easily.
Roosmalen buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rua shoots in but Roosmalen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rua misses with a series of wild punches.
Roosmalen wants to slow Rua down by chopping away at his legs.
Roosmalen throws a quick inside leg kick.
Roosmalen lands with a kick to the temple. Rua shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Mauricio Rua has been cut.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rua.

Roosmalen lands a big head kick that sends Rua tumbling to the mat! Roosmalen takes a step backwards and waves Rua back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Oh Rua is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Roosmalen throws a nice looking combination but Rua bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rua shoots in looking for a takedown. Roosmalen tries to sprawl out of it but Rua keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Roosmalen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rua shoots in and drives through. Roosmalen sprawls well.
Roosmalen looks for the body kick but Rua saw that one coming.
Roosmalen connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rua momentarily.
Good leg kick by Roosmalen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Rua. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Rua shoots in and drives through. Roosmalen sprawls well.

Rua fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Roosmalen avoids it really well and circles away.

Oooooh!!! Roosmalen has knocked Rua down with a huge combo! Roosmalen steps away and waves a wobbly Rua back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Roosmalen stuffs the takedown attempt from Rua. Rua gets slowly back to his feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Roosmalen. That's going to slow Rua down.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Roosmalen! Rua is out on his feet! Roosmalen rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Rua is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Rua is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
