PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kotaro Fuma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khoa Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Search and Destroy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kotaro Fuma looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le with a lazy takedown attempt
and Fuma counters with a series of strikes. Le will be more careful next time no doubt.
Le looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Fuma stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fuma wants it to stay on the feet.
Le shoots in but no luck this time.
Kotaro Fuma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khoa Le.
Fuma fails to land the takedown.

Fuma moves into range and clinches up with Le.
Le is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Fuma's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Le misses with a takedown attempt - Fuma sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Fuma rushes Le and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Fuma has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Le regains guard immediately.

Le has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fuma can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Le is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fuma clinches up with Le and pushes him back against the cage.

Fuma jumps into guard, dragging Le to the mat.
Fuma is looking to stand up but Le isn't so interested in that idea.

Le drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Le as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Fuma screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Le! Nice submission victory there!
