The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Babalu manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gordon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Babalu keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gordon swats away the attempt to clinch by Babalu.

Sinhjo Babalu dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gordon feints and as Babalu raises his hands in defense, Gordon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Babalu is on top in guard.

Gordon is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Babalu has his hands clasped together but Gordon extends an breaks Babalu's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gordon.
