The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jerk connects with a body shot that sends Shamrock's belly button to the back.
Shamrock throws a hook but Jerk avoids it easily.
Shamrock fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jerk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Shamrock closes the distance and clinches up with Jerk, looking for a takedown. Shamrock pushes Jerk against the cage but Jerk circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nice body punch from Jerk.
Jerk takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Gus Shamrock has been cut.
Jerk scores with a jab. Shamrock acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jerk lands with a cross.
Gus Shamrock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jerk lands an overhand right.
Shamrock takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jerk dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Shamrock tries to clinch there but Jerk circles away.
Shamrock misses with a takedown attempt
and Jerk counters with a straight right hand.
Shamrock is breathing heavily.
Shamrock takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Shamrock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shamrock throws an overhand right that lands on Jerk's shoulder, as Jerk tries to avoid the shot.
Shamrock tries to close the distance and clinch but Jerk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jerk drops Shamrock with a beautiful combination! Shamrock stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jerk is looking for the KO!

Shamrock is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shamrock gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jerk counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
