Syn is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Truth by Alexander. Franky Syn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gage Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Franky Syn!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas cracks a nice hook into Syn's ribs.
Syn throws a body punch but Thomas moves out of range.
Thomas lands a lovely overhand right.
Thomas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Syn throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Thomas swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Thomas throws a head kick that misses.
Thomas lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Syn tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Thomas throws a quick inside leg kick.
Thomas pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Thomas throws the kick towards the body but Syn avoids it.
Thomas attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Franky Syn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Syn looks to land a left hand but Thomas moved out of range nicely.

Thomas shoots in for a takedown but Syn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Syn paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Syn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Thomas sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Thomas postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Syn is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Thomas, into his guard.

Gage Thomas has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Syn chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Thomas can pounce on him.

Thomas does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Syn takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Syn looks to score with a jab to the body but Thomas is just out of range.
Thomas swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Syn counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Syn drops Thomas with a beautiful combination! Thomas stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Syn is looking for the KO!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Thomas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Syn moves away.
Oh Thomas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

No luck with that takedown attempt from Thomas.
Thomas seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Thomas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Franky Syn will probably get the nod.
That's time! Thomas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Syn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Syn wants it to stay on the feet.
Syn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Franky Syn seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Syn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Thomas fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Thomas catches Syn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Syn avoids the body shot from Thomas.
Syn misses with a straight left.
Thomas throws a leg kick but Syn moved away.
Thomas jabs at Syn's body.
Syn misses with a body shot.
Syn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thomas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Syn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Thomas somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gage Thomas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Syn throws the left hand but Thomas avoids the punch easily.

Thomas scores with a hook to the body. Syn takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Thomas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Thomas, right into the meat.

Syn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Thomas.
Syn misses with an uppercut.
Thomas takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
