Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mir is fending him off so far but Nelson persists. Nope, Mir circles away and we're back to standing.
Mir could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nelson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mir manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Nelson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mir looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Mir's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Nelson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mir keeps working.

Nelson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mir is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mir is not content to let Nelson control the position.
