Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Condor Axe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Craig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon Craig has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Condor Axe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Craig!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craig slips a straight right by Axe.
Axe leaves Craig with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Craig is defended easily by Axe.

Axe gets a double leg takedown into Craig's guard.
Axe wants to control from the top but Craig keeps moving.
Axe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Craig on the ground.
Craig is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Axe won't allow Craig to sweep him here.

Axe on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Axe tries to get out of the position.

You can see the frustration on Craig's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Axe is looking to take a break and control but Craig is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Axe closes the distance and clinches up with Craig, looking for a takedown. Axe pushes Craig against the cage but Craig circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Craig.
Axe leaves Craig with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Axe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Craig swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Axe shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Craig sprawls well. Craig wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Axe gets slowly back to his feet.

Condor Axe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Craig.
Axe throws an overhand right that lands on Craig's shoulder, as Craig tries to avoid the shot.

Craig needs to keep his hands up - Axe had a free shot at his head there.

Condor Axe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Craig wants to clinch up but Axe keeps it at a distance.
Axe looks to land a combination. Craig sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Craig shoots in looking for a takedown. Axe tries to sprawl out of it but Craig keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Axe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Axe takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Craig misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Axe shoots for a double leg takedown but Craig sprawls well. He's pushed Axe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Axe is not content to let Craig control the position.
Axe tries to roll over but Craig keeps him under control.
Craig wants to pass to mount but Axe is defending the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Craig frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

And that's the end of the fight!
Condor Axe showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Axe has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
