Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Junko Hatoru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Patrick Seven!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seven looks to land a body kick but Hatoru moved away.
Hatoru avoids a kick to the body.

Seven shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hatoru's guard.
Hatoru is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Seven drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hatoru dives on top into guard.

Seven had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hatoru defends it easily.

Hatoru got a little sloppy there for a moment and Seven has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hatoru has managed to get both his arms back between Seven's legs - danger averted.

Hatoru utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Seven passes Hatoru's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Seven not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Seven is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hatoru defends it well.
Seven is pressing down on Hatoru's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hatoru is holding on for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Seven works his way into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Good leg kick by Seven there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Patrick Seven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Seven swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Seven throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Seven takes a jab right on the kisser.
Seven tries a low kick but Hatoru avoids it.
Hatoru takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hatoru checks a leg kick.
Seven's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hatoru under the eye.
A solid leg kick lands there for Seven.
Seven does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Seven just misses with a punch to the body.
Seven misses with a looping left.
Hatoru goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Seven is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hatoru.
Seven looks to land a left hand but Hatoru moved out of range nicely.
Hatoru lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hatoru throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Seven lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hatoru has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hatoru and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Seven avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hatoru staying out of range there.
The fighters circle momentarily. Seven darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Seven throws a solid leg kick but Hatoru takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Seven.

Hatoru throws a hook to the side of Seven's head but Seven sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Seven, right into the meat.
Seven attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Hatoru looks to land a combination but Seven avoids it well.

Hatoru will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hatoru fails to land with a series of punches.
Seven dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hatoru. That did some damage!

Hatoru throws a low kick but Seven avoids it.

Seven throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hatoru's waist but Hatoru gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Seven off to one side.

Patrick Seven comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Seven has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
