Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ron Fitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Asner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fitch comes to the cage accompanied by Born in the USA. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Mike Asner enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mike Asner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fitch throws a series of punches but Asner avoids them all with ease.
Fitch keeps the fight on the outside.
Asner shoots in but no luck this time.

Asner tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fitch postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Asner utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Asner has momentary wrist control but Fitch slips an elbow through the middle.
Asner avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fitch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fitch is stalling in the full guard.

Asner keeping moving, preventing Fitch from controlling successfully.
Fitch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Asner pulls Fitch in to control the position.
Fitch scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Asner has momentary wrist control but Fitch slips an elbow through the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Asner wants to sweep here but Fitch controlling him for the moment.
Fitch not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Fitch postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fitch is pushing down on Asner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Asner is fighting to maintain full guard but Fitch has managed to sneak the leg through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ron Fitch dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Asner slips a jab from Fitch.
Asner moves to clinch but Fitch breaks away

and Fitch counters with a nice double leg into side control. Asner won't be happy with that.
Fitch works to advance to full mount. Asner defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Fitch controlling his opponent.
Fitch pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Fitch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Asner wants to hold on but Fitch pushes him away.
Fitch lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Asner is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fitch unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Asner wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Fitch celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
