Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tre Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pascal Dieniet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dieniet sprawls well. Dieniet wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Monroe gets slowly back to his feet.

Dieniet is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Monroe shoots in looking for a takedown. Dieniet tries to sprawl out of it but Monroe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dieniet manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Monroe takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Dieniet changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Monroe tries to avoid it but Dieniet manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Monroe to the ground. Monroe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Monroe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dieniet as he jumps to the side.
Monroe could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Dieniet slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Dieniet decides to stand up, so the ref orders Monroe to his feet.

Dieniet moves into the clinch.
Monroe is looking to break free of the clinch but Dieniet has double underhooks.

Dieniet ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dieniet no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Monroe postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dieniet is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Monroe, into his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Pascal Dieniet showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
