The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes shoots in but no luck this time.
Average swings widly with a right hand
and Mendes counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mendes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Average defends it well.
