Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Schulte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Drago's choice of entrance music: James Brown - Living In America. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

23 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Drago!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schulte works the jab nicely.
Drago is looking to clinch.
The crowd cheers as Schulte lands an impressive looking overhand right. Drago doesn't seem phased though.
Schulte gets the takedown into side control.
Drago is looking to reverse the position.

Schulte sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Schulte seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Drago for as long as he can get away with.
Drago is desperately trying to improve his position but Schulte has a good base and remains in mount.

Schulte has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Schulte unloads with some shots from mount but Drago bucks and avoids them well.

Schulte swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ivan Drago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schulte scores with a one two! Drago had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Schulte takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Sloppy strikes from Drago. Those never looked like landing.

A looping hook to the body misses from Drago. Schulte does a little dance to reset his feet.
Schulte lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Drago chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Schulte can pounce on him.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Schulte in particular looking to stall.
Schulte wants to free his trapped foot but Drago is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Schulte lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Drago hang on?

Drago is still in real trouble! Can Schulte finish him?
Schulte loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Drago scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Schulte land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Schulte stands and salutes the crowd.
