The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reaper uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Adams.
Reaper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Adams pinned against the cage. Adams gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Adams misses with a series of wild punches.
Adams bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Adams misses with a wild combination.
Michael Adams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Reaper or perhaps it was just good defense by Adams which made him look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams throws a nice looking combination but Reaper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Reaper shoots in looking for a takedown. Adams tries to sprawl out of it but Reaper keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Adams manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Reaper. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Reaper displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Adams throws out the jab.
Reaper tries for a takedown but Adams sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Adams throws a combination. Reaper tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Bobby Reaper has been cut.
Adams scores with a shot to the body.
Oh Reaper is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reaper is breathing heavily.
Reaper drops his hands momentarily. Adams doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Reaper staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Reaper doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
