Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Mazyck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Cake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazyck takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Bubba Mazyck has been cut.

Mazyck gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Mazyck is trying to control the action in half guard but Cake is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Mazyck thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cake's head.
Mazyck is keen to just control but Cake is a slippery customer.
Mazyck missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Mazyck is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mazyck content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Mazyck wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cake keeps working.
Mazyck tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

We're going to have a standup here because Bubba Mazyck wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Cake closes the distance and clinches up with Mazyck, looking for a takedown. Cake pushes Mazyck against the cage but Mazyck circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cake shoots in but Mazyck avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mazyck keeps the fight on the outside.

Cake lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Mazyck swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cake fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mazyck avoids it really well and circles away.
Bubba Mazyck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erik Cake.

Mazyck feints and as Cake raises his hands in defense, Mazyck changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mazyck missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Cake looking for a guillotine here but Mazyck defends easily.

Mazyck passes Cake's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Mazyck wants to stand up but Cake is controlling the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mazyck thows a huge punch but Cake dodges it nicely.

Mazyck gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Mazyck rushes Cake and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mazyck drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cake gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cake prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mazyck is breathing heavily.
Cake blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Mazyck breaks the clinch.
Bubba Mazyck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cake is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mazyck sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Cake throws a series of punches but Mazyck moves out of range.

Mazyck closes the distance and pushes Cake back into the cage.

Mazyck has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Cake is trying to keep an underhook but Mazyck manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Mazyck has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Cake works to full guard.

Mazyck wants to stand but Cake has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Mazyck gets to his feet - Cake follows without any prompting.

Mazyck shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cake manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
