Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laidler tries to clinch there but Smith circles away.
A slow jab from Smith misses its intended target.
Kyle Laidler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

so Smith counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Laidler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith connects with a couple of short punches.
Smith wants to control from the top but Laidler keeps moving.
Smith missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Smith postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Laidler wants to stand and escape but Smith is having none of it.
Smith working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Laidler's head.

Smith makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Laidler works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Smith lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Smith postures up in Laidler's guard and throws a big left but Laidler blocks it.
Smith passes Laidler's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smith connects with a nice short shot to Laidler's temple.
Smith scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Laidler has hold of Smith's hands but Smith slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Laidler is rocked!
Smith landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Oh Laidler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Laidler is hurt! He's hurt bad - Smith fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Laidler from any more punishment! Congratulations to Smith! Great finish!
