Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robert Booey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Bong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robert Booey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, King Bong!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bong tries to clinch up but Booey circles away and keeps his distance.

Booey closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bong quickly recovers to half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Booey throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Bong is trying to get back to full guard.
Bong is staying active underneath Booey, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Bong is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Booey pulls his head out easily.
Booey prevents Bong from improving his position.
Booey looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bong with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bong is not content to let Booey control the position.
Bong should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Booey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bong's head.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Booey wants to pass the guard but Bong is defending well.
Booey seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bong does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Booey moves into full mount! Bong won't be happy about that!
Booey is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bong can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Booey lands a big shot there that rocks Bong but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Booey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Booey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Bong's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Bong is bucking up trying to escape but Booey cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Bong wants to control but Booey is having none of it.

Booey can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bong is looking to escape.

Bong is in a horrible position here. Booey smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Booey tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Booey has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Booey throws an elbow but Bong slips to the side and avoids it well.
Booey is looking to take a break and control but Bong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Booey cracks Bong with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bong is squirming around, avoiding Booey's attempts to control the action.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Booey cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's time! Booey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!



Booey closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bong to the mat! Bong manages to get full guard.

Bong working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Booey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Booey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Booey chips away with some ground and pound.
Booey wants to control from the top but Bong keeps moving.

Booey stands and steps away. Bong gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Booey shoots in but Bong avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bong tries to clinch but Booey moves out of range.
Bong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Robert Booey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bong wants to clinch up but Booey keeps it at a distance.
Bong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Booey shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Booey. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Booey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bong defends it nicely.
Bong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Booey tries to avoid it but Bong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Booey to the ground. Booey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Booey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bong sprawls well. Bong wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Booey gets slowly back to his feet.
Booey circles away from the clinch attempt.
Horrible takedown by Bong or perhaps it was just good defense by Booey which made him look bad.

Booey darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Booey wants to pass to mount but Bong is defending the position.
Booey wants to control but Bong is keeping him busy.

Booey with the ground and pound but Bong uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Bong keeping moving, preventing Booey from controlling successfully.
Bong has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Booey looking to sit in guard and control but Bong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Robert Booey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Booey wants to sweep here but Bong controlling him for the moment.

Bong decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Booey, up you get!
Bong fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Booey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bong fails with the takedown.
King Bong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Booey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Booey somewhat.

And that's the end of the fight!
Robert Booey showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Booey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
