Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Copeland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dee Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Copeland comes to the cage accompanied by Avenged Sevenfold-Beast and the Harlot. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Copeland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dee Jay!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Copeland misses.
Jay throws a big shot that misses.
Copeland uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jay.
Jay looks to score with a jab to the body but Copeland is just out of range.

Copeland shoots in and drives through. Jay sprawls well.
Jay tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Copeland was well out of range. Poor timing from Jay.
Copeland is looking to land body kicks.
Copeland thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Jay if he has to take too many more of those.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jay. Copeland does a little dance to reset his feet.

Copeland bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Copeland working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Jay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Copeland. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Copeland throws an elbow but Jay slips to the side and avoids it well.

Copeland is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jay is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dee Jay will probably get the nod.

Copeland dives in and grabs Jay's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jay pushes down on Copeland's head and hops out.

Copeland shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Copeland was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jay is desperately trying to improve his position but Copeland has a good base and remains in mount.

Poor strikes thrown by Copeland there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Copeland lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Copeland is landing with some decent strikes but Jay is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Copeland lands a big elbow - Jay is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Jay is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jay Copeland!
After the fight, Jay Copeland was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
