Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ken Bates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Silent Bob!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bob shoots in looking for a takedown. Bates tries to sprawl out of it but Bob keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bates manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bob fails with a takedown attempt.
Ken Bates has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Silent Bob.

Bates gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bates not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Bob is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bates pulls his head out easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Bob slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Bates trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Bates drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bates jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bates knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bob on the ground.

Bob gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Bob has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Bates. Oh but Bob has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Bates goes limp - he's gone! Bob jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
