Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Withrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haka Maka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maka has chosen Island Music as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maka shoots and misses
and Withrow makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Maka avoids the head kick by Withrow.
Maka moves out of range as Withrow strikes.
Withrow throws a right hand that Maka ducks under and follows up with a left that Maka also avoids with ease.
Withrow misses with a few strikes there.
Withrow misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Maka avoids the head kick by Withrow.
Withrow misses with a head kick.
Withrow throws a sloppy head kick and Maka moves out of range easily.
Maka misses with a takedown
and Withrow counters with a head kick. That will keep Maka thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Maka blocks a head kick by Withrow.
Withrow misses with a series of wild punches.
Withrow throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Maka's head.
Withrow misses with a two punch combination.
Withrow misses with a jab, cross combination.
Withrow throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Maka.
Withrow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maka shoots in and drives through. Withrow sprawls well.
Jack Withrow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Haka Maka.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Maka.
Withrow misses with a two punch combination.
Maka takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Maka needs to keep his hands up - Withrow had a free shot at his head there.
Withrow stuffs the takedown attempt from Maka. Maka gets slowly back to his feet.
Withrow closes the distance and clinches.

Withrow's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Withrow lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Maka wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Withrow lands with a light punch inside.
Withrow misses with a body punch.
Withrow lands a shot to the body.
Withrow lands a left hand.
Withrow breaks the clinch.
Withrow pushes Maka away with a front kick.
Maka has his takedown stuffed
and Withrow counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Withrow prevents Maka from breaking the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Maka jumps into guard, dragging Withrow to the mat.
Maka keeping moving, preventing Withrow from controlling successfully.
Withrow is stalling in the full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Maka is on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Maka trying to control the position from guard on top but Withrow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Withrow has his hands on Maka's head, controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Maka shoots in but Withrow avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Withrow wants to clinch.
Maka moves forwards but Withrow connects with a nice, crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maka misses with a takedown attempt - Withrow sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Withrow lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

A head kick misses from Withrow.
Withrow throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Jack Withrow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Withrow lands a big head kick that sends Maka tumbling to the mat! Withrow takes a step backwards and waves Maka back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Maka is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A low kick from Maka is predictable there
and Withrow counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Maka has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jack Withrow!
