The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herzog lands a big right hand that sends Beranubus crashing to the mat! Herzog stays standing though and waves Beranubus back to his feet!
It looks like Vitor Beranubus has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Herzog throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Beranubus takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Beranubus fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Herzog avoids it really well and circles away.
Beranubus rushes Herzog and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Beranubus as Herzog tries to tie him up.
Beranubus has Herzog pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Beranubus pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Herzog tumbling to the mat - Beranubus dives into Herzog's guard.
Beranubus wants to pass the guard but Herzog is keeping the position.
Beranubus working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Herzog's head.
Beranubus trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Herzog tries to land a sweep but no joy.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Herzog holds on and takes a little breather.
Herzog avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Herzog manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Beranubus manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Herzog wants to pass the guard but Beranubus is keeping the position.
Herzog wants to control from the top but Beranubus keeps moving.
Beranubus wants to improve his position but instead Herzog has moved into half guard.
Beranubus tries to kick Herzog off but Herzog keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Herzog is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Beranubus sees it coming and defends easily.
Beranubus tries to get to full guard but Herzog has control of the leg.
Beranubus kicks off Herzog and gets to his feet.
Herzog swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Beranubus.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Herzog scores with a jab. Beranubus acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Herzog lands a jab.
Beranubus is rocked!
Vitor Beranubus's cut is getting worse.
Herzog closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Beranubus out cold! Beranubus corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
