Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vasara Hai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiro Matsuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vasara Hai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hiro Matsuka!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsuka shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Hai counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hai.
Hai taking a breather.

Hai works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hai wants to control from the top but Matsuka keeps moving.
Matsuka can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hai controls the pace.
Hai looking to sit in guard and control but Matsuka gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hai seems keen to control Matsuka's posture.
Matsuka trying to control but Hai is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hai avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hai is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Hiro Matsuka.

Hai closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Matsuka did well to prevent Hai getting side control.
Hai is looking to pass Matsuka's guard but actually Matsuka recovers to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hai trying to control but Matsuka is working from the bottom.

Matsuka escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hai gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hai is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hai with a flurry of punches that miss.
Matsuka controls Hai momentarily but Hai frees himself.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hai throws an elbow that misses. Matsuka uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hai's guard. Nice move by Matsuka!

Hai is working hard here to advance position.
Matsuka trying to control the position from guard on top but Hai is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Matsuka postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hai seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Hai looking to hit a scissor sweep but Matsuka is one step ahead there.
Matsuka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hai swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hai controlling the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Matsuka throwing strikes from guard but Hai blocks nicely.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Matsuka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hai.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vasara Hai dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Hai shoots in for a double leg but Matsuka sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hai shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hai is trying to control. Matsuka wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Hai is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Matsuka!
Hai avoids the attempt from Matsuka to control.
Hai working Matsuka over with strikes here.
Matsuka is in a horrible position here. Hai smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Hai punishing his opponent with strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hai has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Matsuka's face.


Matsuka is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hai is landing with some decent strikes but Matsuka is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Matsuka is still in real trouble! Can Hai finish him?
Hai scoring with strikes but Matsuka is staying in there.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Hai! Matsuka is hurt baaadly! Hai is firing away with more strikes - Matsuka is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vasara Hai!
Vasara Hai tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
