The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Heidenreich looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Heidenreich is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Heidenreich is looking to clinch but Solema is avoiding it.
Heidenreich lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Heidenreich misses with a straight left.
Solema uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Heidenreich.
Heidenreich tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Solema paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Solema uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Heidenreich.

Heidenreich lands a nice hook to Solema's body. Solema takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Solema shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Heidenreich throws a combination. Solema tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Heidenreich rushes Solema and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Solema drops his hands momentarily and Heidenreich takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Heidenreich tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Solema was well out of range. Poor timing from Heidenreich.
Solema throws a chopping leg kick but Heidenreich manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Solema takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Solema shoots in looking for a takedown but Heidenreich manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Solema's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Heidenreich tries to clinch but Solema is having none of it.

Heidenreich drives through and clinches with Solema against the cage.
Solema tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Heidenreich smiles and moves away.

Solema shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Heidenreich as he jumps to the side.
Heidenreich takes a swing at Solema's ribcage but misses.
Heidenreich displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Solema.
Heidenreich is looking to clinch.
Heidenreich doesn't manage to clinch there - Solema circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Heidenreich throws a leg kick which misses Solema's front leg but catches the back leg as Solema tries to avoid it.
Heidenreich misses the shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Solema takes one to the side of the head.
Heidenreich tries to clinch but Solema is having none of it.
Solema really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Heidenreich throws a right and a left that both miss.

Solema shoots for a double leg takedown but Heidenreich sprawls well. He's pushed Solema's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Heidenreich moves in looking to clinch but Solema pushes him off.

Heidenreich tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Solema manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Heidenreich cracks Solema with an open hand slap.
Heidenreich misses with a low kick as Solema jumps back.
Solema wants to clinch up but Heidenreich keeps it at a distance.
Heidenreich pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Solema closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Solema lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Solema is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Heidenreich is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Heidenreich has escaped and now he's on top!

Solema is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Solema has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Heidenreich doesn't defend quickly enough and Solema has managed to lock this one up! Can Heidenreich escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Solema on a fantastic submission victory.
