The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Earth Jr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Shanks gets caught flat footed, as Earth Jr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Shanks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Earth Jr is one step ahead there.
Earth Jr wants to get up but he can't break Shanks's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Earth Jr gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Shanks scores with a kick to the midsection.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Earth Jr is breathing heavily.
Shanks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Earth Jr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shanks defends it nicely.

Shanks scores with a kick to the body.

Shanks lands a big head kick that sends Earth Jr tumbling to the mat! Shanks takes a step backwards and waves Earth Jr back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Earth Jr is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shanks throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Earth Jr crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
