Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zach Pressnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Laidler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zach Pressnell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kyle Laidler!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Laidler.
It looks like Zach Pressnell has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pressnell.
Laidler instigates a clinch.
Laidler stops a takedown attempt from Pressnell.
Pressnell has Laidler pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Pressnell pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Laidler tumbling to the mat - Pressnell dives into Laidler's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Pressnell passes Laidler's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Pressnell perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Pressnell is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Laidler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pressnell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Laidler is trying to stand up here but Pressnell is controlling him well.
Pressnell is taking a breather. Laidler says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Pressnell seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That has opened up Kyle Laidler's cut even more.

Pressnell takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Pressnell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pressnell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Laidler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Zach Pressnell wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Laidler pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pressnell back to the cage. Laidler follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Pressnell fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zach Pressnell. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pressnell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Laidler avoids it really well and circles away.
Laidler is looking to clinch.
Pressnell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Laidler as he avoids it easily.
Laidler looks to land a combination. Pressnell sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Laidler keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A head kick misses from Laidler.
Laidler looks gassed!

Pressnell fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Laidler leaves Pressnell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pressnell gets the takedown into side control.
Pressnell throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Laidler taking punishment in the form of punches.
Pressnell has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Pressnell tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Pressnell is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Laidler can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pressnell cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Pressnell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Laidler is looking to escape.
Pressnell scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Laidler?
Pressnell controlling the position easily from mount.
Laidler tries to buck Pressnell off but he can't manage it.
Pressnell lands a big elbow.
Pressnell wants to control the pace but Laidler is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pressnell sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Pressnell cracks Laidler with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pressnell landing strikes from the mount and Laidler is in trouble!
Pressnell connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Pressnell has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Laidler's face.
Laidler is rocked!

Laidler is still in real trouble! Can Pressnell finish him?
Pressnell lands a big elbow - Laidler is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Laidler is forced to tap out!
