The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alli stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet.
Brown tries to clinch there but Alli circles away.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Alli.

Alli is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Brown off and has taken his back!

Alli looking to break Brown's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Brown remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Alli will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Alli is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Brown defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Alli is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Brown is defending well though. Alli let's go of the attempt for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Brown counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Brown slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Alli is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Brown has his hands clasped together but Alli extends an breaks Brown's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Alli.
