The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Murheellinen Vilkuttaja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Girl counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vilkuttaja won't be happy with that.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Girl is looking to take a break and control but Vilkuttaja is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Vilkuttaja is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Girl asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Vilkuttaja drops Girl with a left right combo! Vilkuttaja follows him down to the ground into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
You can see the frustration on Girl's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The referee asks Vilkuttaja politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Vilkuttaja prefers to stall for the moment though.
Check out the look on Vilkuttaja's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That has opened up Barby Girl's cut even more.

Girl is looking to regain half guard here but Vilkuttaja keeps moving and retains side control.

Vilkuttaja wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Girl, who protects the arm well.
Vilkuttaja creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Girl takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The cut above Barby Girl's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Barby Girl's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

After winning the bout, Murheellinen Vilkuttaja thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
