The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takedown stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Takedown wants it to stay on the feet.
Jagd closes the distance and clinches up with Takedown, looking for a takedown. Jagd pushes Takedown against the cage but Takedown circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jagd fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mr Takedown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Jagd.
Jagd shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Takedown counters with a shoot takedown. Jagd fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Takedown wants to pass the guard but Jagd is keeping the position.

Jagd has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Takedown can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Takedown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jagd swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Takedown's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Takedown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
