Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aziz Ansari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Morrison might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Metalingus. Ansari is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Macarena. John Morrison had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrison fails with the takedown

and Ansari counters with a nice double leg into side control. Morrison won't be happy with that.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Morrison is trying to get back to half guard.
Morrison is trying to work for a sweep but Ansari has mounted him!
Ansari avoids the attempt from Morrison to control.
Ansari blocks Morrison's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Morrison swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Morrison is in all sorts of trouble here.

Ansari is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Morrison is surviving well by controlling Ansari's body position as best he can.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ansari lands a big elbow.

Morrison keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ansari has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Morrison's face.
Morrison is wriggling around trying to escape.
Morrison is working hard here to advance position.
Ansari fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ansari wants to control the pace but Morrison is squirming around nicely.

Morrison had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ansari defends it easily.
Morrison wants to sweep here but Ansari controlling him for the moment.
Ansari wants to control from the top but Morrison keeps moving.
Ansari slips nicely into half guard.

Ansari seems to be looking for submissions.

Morrison is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ansari pulls his head out easily.
Ansari is pressing down on Morrison's thigh, looking to free his foot. Morrison is holding on for now.
Morrison is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Morrison gets back to full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ansari is sitting in close to Morrison's body. Morrison has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Ansari is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Ansari is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Morrison.
