PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dale Rossi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Kamaina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rossi comes to the cage accompanied by HEAVY METAL. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dale Rossi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zach Kamaina!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rossi throws a body punch but Kamaina moves out of range.
Danga de danga de dang - Rossi scores with a four punch combination!
A jab from Kamaina does it's job there.
Rossi scores with a body shot.
Kamaina changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rossi tries to avoid it but Kamaina manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rossi to the ground. Rossi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kamaina tries a head kick but it misses.
Kamaina tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kamaina is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Rossi slips a jab and a cross from Kamaina.
Kamaina works over Rossi's head and body with a nice combination.
Kamaina keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rossi.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kamaina walks into a stiff left hand from Rossi.
Rossi lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Kamaina lets loose with a powerful body kick. Rossi will feel that in the morning.
Rossi blocks a head kick by Kamaina.
Kamaina lands with a nice body punch.
Kamaina shoots in looking for a takedown. Rossi tries to sprawl out of it but Kamaina keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rossi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kamaina closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Rossi with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Rossi moves into range and connects with a jab.
Kamaina takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
A punch combination from Kamaina misses.
Kamaina throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rossi.

Rossi drops Kamaina with a left and a right! Oh, Kamaina is hurt - Rossi dives into side control looking to finish!

Kamaina is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Rossi has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Kamaina is still on wobbly legs! Can Rossi finish him?
Kamaina looks gassed!
Kamaina drops his hands for a split second and Rossi immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Kamaina face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Rossi follows up with a right hand that knocks Kamaina into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dale Rossi!
Dale Rossi made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I dont want to see your fucken face around my scrap metal ever again you got me you piece of shit!! Oh what you wanna go again? I'll knock your teeth into your asshole!! '.
