Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luciano Bivar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bivar comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC Back In Black. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bivar scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Bivar fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Patterson sprawls well initially but Bivar persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bivar not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bivar prevents Patterson from standing back up.

Bivar seems to be working for a kimura but Patterson defends the submission attempt.
Patterson won't allow Bivar to pass to mount.
Bivar throws a strike but Patterson avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Bivar advances to half guard.
Patterson wants to get back to his feet.
Patterson is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Patterson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bivar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bivar tries to pass the half guard into mount. Patterson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Patterson is trying to stand.
Bivar passes to side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Patterson is trying to get back to his feet.
Patterson seems a little lost for a moment, as Bivar dominates the positioning.

Bivar has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Patterson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bivar. Bivar obviously looking to wear him down.
Donald Patterson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bivar throws a body kick that misses.
Bivar fails with a takedown attempt.
Patterson moves out of range as Bivar throws a body kick.
Patterson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Patterson wants it to stay on the feet.
Bivar throws a nice head kick!

Patterson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bivar's head.

It looks like Luciano Bivar has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Patterson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Bivar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bivar in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Patterson wants to stand up but Bivar is controlling him.
Bivar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Patterson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bivar drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Bivar seems to have locked his on tight now - Patterson screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Bivar, as he picks up the win!
