The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hearns.

Hearns misses with a wild body shot.

Hagler Hearns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters circling - Smith throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hearns with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Hearns ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Hearns scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Smith's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hearns connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Smith scrambles back to his feet.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hearns.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith throws a body punch but Hearns moves out of range.
Smith takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hearns works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hearns scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Hearns thuds his shin into the meat of Smith's side.
Hearns connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Hearns is looking to wear down Smith with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Hearns works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Smith drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Hearns throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Smith colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Hearns as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Smith is left battered and dazed whilst Hearns and his camp cheer!

A less than humble Hagler Hearns misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
