Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and peter Tremain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevenson comes to the cage accompanied by Clubbed to Death. peter Tremain will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, peter Tremain!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson lands with a cross.
Tremain tries to clinch but Stevenson is having none of it.
Tremain takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Tremain misses with a takedown attempt - Stevenson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Tremain counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Tremain has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Stevenson after a bit of a struggle.
Stevenson has Tremain pressed against the cage.
Tremain is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Stevenson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Tremain is trying to drag Stevenson to the mat but Stevenson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Tremain has had enough of the clinch but Stevenson keeps him there for the moment.
Tremain jumps guard but Stevenson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Stevenson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

OK we're going to have a standup here. peter Tremain hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Stevenson has Tremain pressed against the cage, preventing Tremain from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Stevenson is pressed up against the cage. Tremain has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stevenson down to the mat. Stevenson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

John Stevenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tremain misses with a takedown attempt
and Stevenson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stevenson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tremain manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Tremain has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Tremain tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stevenson swivels and escapes.
Tremain walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Stevenson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
