Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ezra Yamada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Vera!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamada fails with a takedown attempt.

Yamada closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vera did well to prevent Yamada getting side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Yamada is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Vera sees it coming and defends easily.

Yamada is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Yamada prevents Vera from standing back up.
Yamada looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Yamada wants to pass the guard but Vera is defending well.
Vera wants to control but Yamada is keeping busy.

Yamada stands up and beckons Vera to join him on the feet.
No luck for Vera with that takedown attempt.
Yamada misses with a jab, cross combination.
Yamada moves in looking to clinch but Vera pushes him off.
Vera closes the distance and clinches up with Yamada, looking for a takedown. Vera pushes Yamada against the cage but Yamada circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Yamada throws a half hearted mid kick.
Yamada stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yamada wants it to stay on the feet.
Ezra Yamada has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Vera.

Vera gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Yamada to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Yamada passes Vera's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Yamada keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Vera is looking for a sweep. Yamada is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Yamada works his foot free and advances to mount.
Yamada is landing with some decent strikes but Vera is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Yamada seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Vera for as long as he can get away with.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee warns Vera that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Vera is trying to reverse the position but instead Yamada has taken his back - oops!

Yamada working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Vera is doing well to defend. Yamada seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Vera is forced to tap and this one is over!
