Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rantis Gaumpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Speakman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gaumpe comes to the cage accompanied by TRIBAL SEEDS- AWAY. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Speakman throws a right and a left that Gaumpe avoids nicely.

and Speakman counters with a three punch combo that has Gaumpe backing up. Gaumpe nods at Speakman to acknowledge the strikes.

A looping hook to the body misses from Gaumpe. Speakman does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gaumpe stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Speakman moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Speakman feints a jab promting Gaumpe to slip. Speakman then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gaumpe slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

The fighters circle momentarily. Speakman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

and Speakman counters with a head kick that drops Gaumpe to the mat! Gaumpe scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Speakman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Speakman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Speakman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gaumpe throws a nice inside leg kick.
Gaumpe fails to land with a series of punches.
Gaumpe showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Speakman.

Gaumpe avoids a punch combination nicely.
Speakman misses with a jab, cross combination.

and Gaumpe counters with a body kick.
Speakman looks gassed!
Gaumpe digs a good body shot into Speakman's ribs.
Gaumpe lands the left hand.
Gaumpe throws a jab but it's blocked by Speakman.
Speakman has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gaumpe.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gaumpe clobbers Speakman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
It looks like Jeff Speakman has been cut.
Gaumpe tries to bum rush Speakman with a series of wild strikes but Speakman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Speakman misses with a double jab
and Gaumpe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gaumpe misses with a low kick.

Gaumpe looks to throw the jab but Speakman is out of range.

Gaumpe throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sloppy strikes from Speakman. Those never looked like landing.
Speakman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gaumpe misses the jab.
Gaumpe is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Speakman avoids the body shot from Gaumpe.
Speakman needs to keep his hands up - Gaumpe had a free shot at his head there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Speakman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gaumpe.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rantis Gaumpe will probably get the nod.

Gaumpe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Speakman was well out of range. Poor timing from Gaumpe.

Gaumpe dodges the punch combination from Speakman.
Gaumpe has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Speakman throws a one two combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A punch lands to the side of Speakman 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Speakman seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Gaumpe shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Speakman is backing up but Gaumpe catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Speakman covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Gaumpe Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rantis Gaumpe!
Rantis Gaumpe really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Ganja's Warehouse logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
