Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mad Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Speedy Atkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atkins has chosen baddest of the bad - rev. horton heat as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atkins moves into the clinch successfully.
Atkins throws a knee to the head but misses.
Dog ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dog no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Dog is trying to keep Atkins in close.
Dog lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Atkins!
Atkins keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Dog has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Atkins is staying active underneath Dog, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Atkins is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dog's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dog's back!

Atkins doesn't have the hooks in and Dog manages to turn into his guard.
Atkins is looking for a triangle here but Dog uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
