The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones looks for a takedown but Carver sprawls well.
Jones tries to bum rush Carver with a series of wild strikes but Carver uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones misses with a hook.

Carver controls from within his opponent's guard.

Carver drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Carver jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Carver decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carver throws out the jab.
Jones misses with an uppercut. Carver saw that one coming.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Carver shows good takedown defense.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carver avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Carver drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carver working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Carver is tightening it up a little... Jones has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Jones reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Jones taps out! Nice BJJ there by Carver!
