Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnnie Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stephen Harper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Johnnie Walker!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harper scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Harper stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Walker has his takedown stuffed

and Harper counters with a takedown into side control.
Walker tries to bench press Harper off him but Harper keeps the position.
Harper happy to just control the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Walker tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Harper has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Walker tries to bench press Harper off him but Harper keeps the position.
Harper in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Walker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Harper wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Harper changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Walker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

You can see the frustration on Walker's face as Harper controls the position.

Harper decides to stand up, so the ref orders Walker to his feet.
Walker closes the distance looking to clinch

and Harper counters with a nice double leg into side control. Walker won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Walker is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Harper is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Walker is looking to improve his position but Harper isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harper is landing with some decent strikes but Walker is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Harper is landing with some decent strikes but Walker is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Harper prevents Walker from getting the reversal.
Harper lands a nice shot to the head.

Harper is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Walker has managed to escape the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Walker has his takedown stuffed

and Harper decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Walker's guard.
Harper stands and throws Walker's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Walker is looking to regain half guard here but Harper keeps moving and retains side control.
Walker manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Harper stands up and beckons Walker to join him on the feet.

Walker has his takedown stuffed

and Harper counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Walker jumps guard but Harper stands there with Walker around his waist. Walker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Stephen Harper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnnie Walker.
Nice body punch from Harper - that landed with a thud.

Harper gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Stephen Harper overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Walker wants to get back to full guard.
Walker slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Harper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walker on the ground.

Walker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Walker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Walker is trying to work for a kimura but Harper is defending well.

Harper is in trouble now - Walker has advanced to mount!

Walker is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Harper just trying to survive but Walker is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Walker has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Harper is in real trouble here. Walker gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Harper is tapping out! Walker wins by rear naked choke!
