Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Alcano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alcano kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Three Stars & A Sun. Jose Alcano could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Christian Jacobs's chin.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs throws a low kick, looking for Alcano's leg but Alcano calmly moves out of range.

and Jacobs counters with a left to the body.
Alcano misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jacobs.
Jacobs is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Jacobs throws a sloppy head kick and Alcano moves out of range easily.
Alcano misses with a body kick.
Jacobs lands a nice shot that snaps Alcano's head back.
Jacobs takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jacobs moves into the clinch successfully.
Jacobs turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jacobs manages to end up in side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alcano is trying to get back to half guard.
Alcano gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Jacobs with the ground and pound but Alcano uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Alcano pushes Jacobs off and scrambles back to his feet.
Jacobs shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Alcano is trying to defend but Jacobs finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Alcano is in a horrible position here. Jacobs smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jacobs is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Alcano to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Alcano shrugs it off.

Jose Alcano's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Alcano is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Jacobs has taken his back!
Jacobs cracks Alcano with a big right hand from the back mount! Alcano immediately covers up and the referee dives in to save him under a barrage of more strikes! Jacobs takes this one by TKO!
