And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ralph Gordan!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Gordan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gordan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gonzalez moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Ralph Gordan has been cut.
Gordan tries to close the distance and clinch but Gonzalez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gonzalez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gordan's hands.
Gordan throws a big shot that misses.

Gordan moves into the clinch.
Gordan is looking to control Gonzalez's arms but Gonzalez gets an underhook and turns him. Now Gordan has his back to the cage.
Gonzalez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gordan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Oooooh!!! Gonzalez has knocked Gordan down with a huge combo! Gonzalez steps away and waves a wobbly Gordan back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gordan walks straight into a right hand from Gonzalez - that's dropped him! Gonzalez jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Gordan from any more punishment! Gordan complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
