Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Barlon Mrando!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wayne Huntington!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mrando shoots in looking for a takedown but Huntington manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mrando's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Huntington tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mrando is defended easily by Huntington.
Huntington lands a big right hand that sends Mrando crashing to the mat! Huntington stays standing though and waves Mrando back to his feet!
Mrando is rocked!
It looks like Barlon Mrando has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Huntington looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Huntington backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Mrando's temple! It sends Mrando violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Huntington celebrates and the doctors try to help Mrando!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Wayne Huntington!
