Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Tap Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Cain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Tap Out!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tap Out slips a jab and a cross from Cain.
Tap Out takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Cain throws a right and a left that Tap Out avoids nicely.
Cain connects with a body shot.
Tap Out shoots in and drives through. Cain sprawls well.
Tap Out closes the distance and clinches up with Cain, looking for a takedown. Tap Out pushes Cain against the cage but Cain circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cain throws a series of punches but Tap Out avoids them all with ease.
Cain swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sloppy strikes from Cain. Those never looked like landing.

Tap Out shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cain's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Cain looking to control.

Tap Out is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Tap Out passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tap Out thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Tap Out swings around for an armbar but Cain sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tap Out's guard.
Tap Out is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tap Out swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cain throws a big right hand that misses.

Tap Out is looking for a triangle but Cain pushes his legs off easily.
Cain wants to control from the top but Tap Out keeps moving.
Cain looking to pass the guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cain throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tap Out works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Cain lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Cain would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Tap Out is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cain stands and throws Tap Out's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Tap Out on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Tap Out wants to control but Cain postures up.

Cain tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

You can see the frustration on Tap Out's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Tap Out looks gassed!
Cain looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Tap Out is avoiding damage well.
Cain in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Tap Out wants to control but Cain postures up.

Cain is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tap Out knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Tap Out's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Tap Out is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cain's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Tap Out trying to hold on to Cain's head to control him but Cain postures up.

Cain is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tap Out has managed to free his arm - good work.
Tap Out is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cain is looking for a kimura but Tap Out is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cain to get the leverage.

Tap Out is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cain pulls his head out easily.
Cain lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tommy Tap Out will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Tap Out looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Tap Out fails with a takedown attempt.
Tap Out avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cain stuffs the takedown attempt from Tap Out. Tap Out gets slowly back to his feet.
Cain swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cain misses with a looping right.
Mike Cain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cain lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tap Out circles away quickly and effectively.
Cain displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tap Out.
Mike Cain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Tap Out.

Cain misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tap Out uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cain.
A big right from Cain misses.
Tap Out fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tap Out is breathing heavily.
Tap Out closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Tap Out slips under a jab.
Tap Out shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cain as he jumps to the side.
A combination from Cain does no damage.
Good standup being displayed there by Cain as he connects with a hook.
Cain rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tap Out moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mike Cain is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Cain misses with a hook. Tap Out ducked under it nicely.
Cain lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Cain lands with a cross.
Cain misses with the combination.

Tap Out scores a takedown into full mount!

Cain is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Tap Out is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Cain is surviving well by controlling Tap Out's body position as best he can.
Cain tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Cain really wants to buck Tap Out off and get back to his feet.
Cain working to try and regain half guard.

Tap Out working for a submission but Cain is keeping him at bay.
Cain knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tap Out on the ground.

Tap Out moves to take his opponent's back.
Cain trying to control the hands but Tap Out won't let him.
Cain tries to escape but Tap Out has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Tap Out is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Cain knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Cain for a finish.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tap Out is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Cain is defending well though. Tap Out let's go of the attempt for now.
Cain breaks Tap Out's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Tommy Tap Out will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Tap Out takes one to the side of the head.
Cain throws a combination that misses

and Tap Out counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cain won't be happy with that.

Tap Out wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cain, who protects the arm well.

Tap Out looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Cain is trying to control Tap Out's posture but Tap Out avoids it.

Cain controls the position for a moment.
Tap Out takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Cain is trying to get back to half guard.

Tap Out is working to tighten is grip on Cain's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Cain has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Tap Out is really squeezing tight and eventually Cain passes out! Tap Out breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Tommy Tap Out!
