Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wasim Kayani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kayani has chosen E.S. Posthumus - ARISE as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor shoots in and bounces Kayani off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Connor is working hard here to advance position.
Kayani is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kayani has Connor pulled in close to control his posture.

Kayani working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Connor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Connor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kayani pulls Connor in close to his closed guard and prevents Connor from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Wasim Kayani wasn't active enough on the ground.
Connor lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Connor scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Kayani scores with a spinning back kick!
Connor misses with a lunging right hand
and Kayani counters with a stiff right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kayani keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kayani dips to his left and cracks Connor with an uppercut!
Kayani moves into range and connects with a jab.
Kayani connects with a nice looking jab.
Kayani scores with a sloppy right hand. Connor should have avoided that one.
Kayani uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Connor has time to react.
Connor is rocked!
Both fighters circling a little - Kayani finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
John Connor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Connor is breathing heavily.
Connor throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kayani lands a really nice looking cross but Connor seems unphased.
Oh Connor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kayani feints and then cracks Connor's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Connor down.
Kayani drops Connor with a big left hand! Connor is injured, injured bad! Kayani jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wasim Kayani!
A very excited looking Wasim Kayani made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
