Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Abente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Dee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abente's entrance music is Fuckin in the bushes. A fine choice. Jay Dee has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jorge Abente's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Abente misses.
Dee looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
A swing and a miss from Abente.
Abente tries to clinch but Dee moves out of range.
Abente is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Abente tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dee paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Abente tries for a takedown but Dee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Abente creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Dee fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Abente sprawls well initially but Dee persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Abente tries to roll over but Dee keeps him under control.

Dee is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Abente to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Dee tries to pull guard but Abente holds him up against the cage and eventually Dee drops back down to his feet.

Dee is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Abente throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Dee controls Abente momentarily but Abente frees himself.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Abente accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Abente wants to get up but he can't break Dee's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Dee is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Dee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Abente is one step ahead there.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Dee holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Abente is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dee pulls him back up using the underhooks.
A short body shot lands from Dee as the two fighters clinch.

Dee jumps guard and drags Abente to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Abente is looking to work some ground and pound but Dee has wrist control.
Abente throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dee has momentary wrist control but Abente slips an elbow through the middle.

Abente tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dee swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Abente manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Abente pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Abente tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Abente is on top in guard.

Abente decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dee, up you get!

You get the feeling that Abente really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dee is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Abente pushes Dee off and gets back to his feet.

Dee wants to free his trapped foot but Abente is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Dee decides to stand up.
Abente tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Dee doesn't manage to clinch there - Abente circles away.
Dee walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Abente checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Dee finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dee stands up and beckons Abente to join him on the feet.

Dee goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Abente will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Abente has hold of one of Dee's legs. Dee is fighting the takedown attempt but Abente gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Dee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Abente gets back to full guard.
Abente tries to strike from the bottom.
Dee is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Abente decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Abente is looking to take a break and control but Dee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Abente stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Dee to get to his feet.

Jay Dee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
