Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean McNamara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Fujichrome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McNamara's entrance music is Massive Attack - Teardrop (House M.D.). A fine choice. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sean McNamara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matthew Fujichrome!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McNamara gets the takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
McNamara happy to just control the position for now.

McNamara is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fujichrome knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McNamara is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Fujichrome gets his way!

Fujichrome is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. McNamara knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften McNamara for a finish.

Fujichrome has got his arm under McNamara's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! McNamara has spun round into Fujichrome's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
McNamara has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
McNamara is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Fujichrome has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McNamara can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McNamara might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McNamara seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fujichrome for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sean McNamara.

McNamara shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fujichrome is trying to defend but McNamara finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Sean McNamara overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fujichrome escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McNamara gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McNamara slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sean McNamara has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! McNamara has cracked Fujichrome with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! McNamara lands another huge swinging hook and Fujichrome tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Fujichrome, before McNamara can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sean McNamara!
