Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jima Jammy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jima Jammy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jima Jammy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ed Gein!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jammy attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Gein pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jammy keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jammy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jammy is looking to land body kicks.
Gein walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Gein looks to land a right hand but Jammy moved out of range.
Gein takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Gein throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Jammy uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Gein swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Jammy decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gein's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gein manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jammy manages to get himself to full guard.

Jammy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jammy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Jammy throws his legs up looking for a submission but Gein uses it to pass to side control.

Gein has the hooks in. Jammy is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jammy shoots in and drives through. Gein sprawls well.
A nice combination there by Jammy.


It looks like Ed Gein has been cut.
Jammy cracks Gein with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jammy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gein is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jammy shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gein eats them both and turns towards Jammy to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Gein throws a head kick but Jammy moves out of range.

Jammy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jammy misses the jab.
Gein misses with a jab, cross combination.
No luck for Jammy with that takedown attempt.
Jammy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jima Jammy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gein misses with a few strikes there.
Ed Gein is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jammy throws a head kick that Gein semi-blocks.

Gein throws an overhand right that lands on Jammy's shoulder, as Jammy tries to avoid the shot.

Gein swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Gein throws a nice looking combination but Jammy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Gein throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gein swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jammy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gein throws a jab when Jammy was well out of range.

Jammy moves into the clinch.
Jammy goes for a takedown attempt but Gein pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jammy motions for Gein to come forward. Jammy throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Nice uppercut there from Jammy.
Gein cracks Jammy with an open hand slap.
Gein slips a jab from Jammy.
Gein misses with the body kick
and Jammy counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jammy throws a lazy head kick
and Gein counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Jammy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Gein!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jammy throws a sloppy strike and Gein uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Gein has ended up in Jammy's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gein is looking to stand up but Jammy won't let him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gein throws an off balance right hand
and Jammy counters with a straight right hand.
No joy there for Gein, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gein fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Jammy shoots for a takedown but Gein saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The crowd cheers as Gein lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jammy doesn't seem phased though.

Jammy throws a shot from downtown. Gein moves away and avoids it.
Gein uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jammy.

Jammy slips a jab from Gein.

Jammy closes the distance and clinches.
Gein tries to stall but Jammy uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Jammy lands a good knee to the midsection. Gein won't want to take too many of those.
Gein misses with a punch on the inside.

Gein breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jammy fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jima Jammy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A left lands for Gein.
Jammy lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gein's sensitive parts.
Jammy throws a wild body kick that Gein sees coming a mile off.
Jammy moves out of range as Gein throws a body kick.
Ed Gein has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

and Jammy counters with a nice leg kick.

Jammy gets a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jammy wants the takedown. Gein is fighting it off but Jammy persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gein's guard against the cage.

Jammy throws an elbow that misses. Gein uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jammy's guard. Nice move by Gein!

Jammy throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gein escapes and throws Jammy's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Jima Jammy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Gein throws an elbow but Jammy slips to the side and avoids it well.
Jammy is trying to improve his position.
Gein wants to stand but Jammy is controlling his arm.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jima Jammy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
