Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Michalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cain comes to the cage accompanied by A Warrior's Call. Mike Cain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Cain.
Cain lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Cain.
Michalski throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A swing and a miss from Cain.
Cain connects with a looping right hand.
Sloppy strikes from Cain. Those never looked like landing.
Michalski avoids a punch combination nicely.
Michalski takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Michalski dives in and scores a takedown into Cain's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Cain is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Michalski gets his way!

Michalski is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Cain knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Cain for a finish.

Cain is holding onto Michalski's left hand, preventing any choke attempts.
Cain wants to control his opponent's hands but Michalski gets his hands free.
Cain rolls, trying to escape but Michalski keeps control of the position.
Cain just trying to survive but Michalski is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Cain's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Michalski. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cain is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Michalski is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Michalski with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cain to score with a decent uppercut.

Michalski instigates a clinch.

Michalski is trying to drag Cain to the mat but Cain just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Michalski lands a good knee to the midsection. Cain won't want to take too many of those.
Cain has had enough of the clinch but Michalski keeps him there for the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Mike Cain will probably get the nod.

Michalski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cain defends it well.

Michalski wants to work for an arm triangle but Cain is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Cain is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Michalski wants to free his trapped foot but Cain is holding on for dear life with his legs.
