Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kotaro Hakku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bennett has chosen Stronger, Kanye West as his entrance music. Mike Bennett will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kotaro Hakku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Bennett!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Hakku.
Hakku lands a head shot.
Hakku fails to land with a series of punches.
Hakku throws a right and a left that Bennett avoids nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hakku looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kotaro Hakku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hakku tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bennett swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bennett throws a front kick that sends Hakku stumbling back into the ropes.
Bennett misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bennett rushes Hakku and presses him up against the ropes.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Bennett.

Hakku jumps guard.
Bennett keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hakku's head.

Bennett drops back looking for a leg! Hakku is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hakku manages to kick Bennett off! Bennett jumps back into Hakku's guard.
Bennett trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Hakku working for submissions but it's allowed Bennett to get to half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Bennett thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Hakku is defending against the submission attempts here by Bennett.
Bennett tries to pass to full mount but Hakku defends it.

Bennett is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hakku trying to control but Bennett postures up.
Bennett landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Hakku tries to roll over but Bennett keeps him under control.
Bennett looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hakku with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bennett lands a nice short elbow.
Hakku is looking to escape.
Bennett is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hakku!
Bennett is landing with some decent strikes but Hakku is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Bennett looks gassed!
Hakku is trying to escape the mount.

Bennett is working for a guillotine from mount but Hakku frees his head quite easily.
Bennett working the ground and pound effectively.
Hakku tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hakku bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Bennett working for a triangle but Hakku defends it easily.

Hakku keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Bennett's head.
Bennett wants to sweep but no luck.
Bennett is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Bennett trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Hakku wants to control from the top but Bennett keeps moving.

Bennett looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hakku forces his way into half guard.
Bennett slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Hakku drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bennett manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hakku has Bennett in his guard.
Hakku bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bennett's guard.

Bennett looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hakku postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hakku throws a big right hand that misses.
Bennett preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Bennett wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Bennett dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hakku tries to clinch but Bennett moves away
and Bennett counters with an inside leg kick.
Bennett lands a two punch combo.
Hakku fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hakku closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bennett circles away.
Kotaro Hakku is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bennett uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hakku.
A solid leg kick lands there for Bennett.
Hakku takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hakku falls off balance throwing a combination

and Bennett counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hakku!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hakku tries to reverse the position but Bennett maintains control.
Hakku is working hard here to advance position.
Bennett throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Hakku is looking to improve his position but Bennett isn't that keen on the idea.
Bennett is breathing heavily.
Hakku regains half guard.
Hakku is looking to control Bennett's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hakku avoid being mounted?

Hakku slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Hakku working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bennett doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hakku is tightening it up a little... Bennett has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bennett reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bennett taps out! nice BJJ there by Hakku!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Kotaro Hakku!
