Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jerald Jenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vojtech Egorov!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egorov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jenson.
Egorov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jenson circles away.
Jenson misses with a takedown attempt

and Egorov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jenson won't be happy with that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Egorov stands up and beckons Jenson to his feet.
Egorov misses with a series of wild punches.
Egorov looks for a takedown but Jenson sprawls well.
Nice takedown defense from Egorov. No joy for Jenson on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerald Jenson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Egorov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jenson but Jenson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jenson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Egorov circles away.

Jenson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jenson tries to get out of the position.

Egorov throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Egorov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Egorov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Egorov lands a big shot there that rocks Jenson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Egorov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Egorov wants to control the pace but Jenson is squirming around nicely.
Jenson is looking to improve his position but Egorov isn't that keen on the idea.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Vojtech Egorov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jenson jabbing away but nothing is landing.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Egorov gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Jenson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Egorov has passed into side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like Egorov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Egorov dives in and scores a takedown into Jenson's guard.

Egorov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jenson dives on top into guard.
Egorov seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Egorov tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jenson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Egorov is on top in guard.

Egorov pushes down on Jenson's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Jenson is trying to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jenson is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Jenson tries to bench press Egorov off him but Egorov keeps the position.

Egorov works to advance to full mount. Jenson defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Jenson is trying to reverse the position but instead Egorov has taken his back - oops!

Egorov is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Jenson grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Egorov gets his hands free as Jenson looks to control.

Egorov is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Jenson is defending well though. Egorov let's go of the attempt for now.

Vojtech Egorov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Egorov drives through with a takedown into Jenson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Jenson is in trouble now - Egorov has advanced to mount!
Egorov controlling the pace for now.
Let's hope that Egorov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Egorov looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Egorov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Egorov has hold of Jenson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jenson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Egorov wants to finish this one by submission but Jenson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Egorov.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Egorov cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Vojtech Egorov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Vojtech Egorov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Egorov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
