The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lidd wants to clinch up but Recto keeps it at a distance.
Lidd blocks a head kick by Recto.
Lidd is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Recto scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lidd doesn't seem bothered though.
Lidd throws a right and a left that both miss.

Recto closes the distance and clinches.
Recto tries to pull guard but Lidd holds him up against the cage and eventually Recto drops back down to his feet.
Recto jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lidd walks away with a smile on his face. Recto gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Recto looks for a takedown but Lidd sprawls well.
Daniel Lidd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Olrax Recto.
Lidd tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Recto manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Recto gets cracked there but stands up to it.

It looks like Olrax Recto has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lidd tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Recto paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lidd bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Recto's head backwards.
