The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
yihu throws a sloppy head kick and Thompson moves out of range easily.
Thompson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but yihu swivels and escapes.
yihu throws a head kick but Thompson moves out of range.
yihu throws a head kick that misses.
Thompson throws a wild body kick that yihu sees coming a mile off.
yihu avoids a punch combination nicely.
Thompson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thompson thows a body shot but no joy.

yihu takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Thompson throws a low kick but it's checked well by yihu.

Thompson swats away the attempt to clinch by yihu.

yihu fails in his attempt to clinch.
Thompson circles away from the clinch attempt.
yihu throws a hook but Thompson blocks it.
Thompson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if yihu can do anything to dispel that myth.

yihu is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Thompson passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
yihu is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Thompson has just dragged him back down to the mat.
yihu bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Thompson scores with a punch to the head.
It looks like huk yihu has been cut.
yihu looks gassed!

Thompson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
yihu ducks straight into an uppercut from Thompson and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - yihu maanges to regain guard straight away.
yihu is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
yihu keeping moving, preventing Thompson from controlling successfully.
yihu is still in real trouble! Can Thompson finish him?
Thompson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
yihu seems to have recovered his senses.
Thompson landing some decent shots from guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

yihu moves in looking to clinch but Thompson pushes him off.
yihu throws a leg kick
and Thompson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
yihu closes the distance but Thompson moves to the side
and Thompson counters with a big right hand! Oh yihu is in trouble here! Thompson follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
